China is accepted as the recognized birth place of fireworks. The exact date of invention, important element use in fireworks and the discovery of gunpowder's are unknown, still it is debatable for the historians. Some people insist that it is discovered 2000 years ago but some says it is invented during later part of middle ages. The Chinese generally use the fireworks for their entertainment activities. Therefore, they are considered as the first firework crackers. Initially they use bamboo tubes filled with gunpowder's and throw them to the flames to burst.

The Chinese believe that the noise produced by these firecrackers helps to keep away the evil things around us. To avoid evil spirits Chinese generally use fireworks in their New Year Eve. The usage of fireworks ultimately spread to the westward, Middle East and later moved to Europe. The first use of fireworks was recorded sometime around 13th century in Europe. The Chinese generally use the fireworks for their entertainment purpose, whereas the European uses the fireworks for their military activities. Actually, that's the time were guns are invented. Europeans also play a major role in forefront the progress of fireworks. The schools has been built specifically for this purpose, one was in Italy whereas other was in Nuremberg, Germany.

Today, the fireworks play a vital role in major celebration all over the world. Even in International festivals the separate session has been allotted to display the colorful fireworks.
